Chip White

Chip White is the Assistant Director of Training Operations at the Department of Criminal Justice Training.

White began his career at DOCJT in 2014 as an instructor in the Leadership Section, where he coordinated the Criminal Justice Executive Development program as well as instructed other leadership and wellness classes.  White was later promoted to Leadership Section Supervisor and then again to Branch Manager of the In-Service Training Branch.

Before joining DOCJT, White retired from the Madisonville Police Department at the rank of Lieutenant. During his 20-year career, he served as a patrol officer, patrol supervisor, Emergency Response Team Commander, administrative supervisor, and a training instructor of firearms, tactics, fitness, and defensive tactics.

White earned his Bachelor of Integrated Studies-Human Services degree from Murray State University, his Master of Management and Leadership from Campbellsville University, and a Master of Science in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Eastern Kentucky University. He is also a graduate of the Academy of Police Supervision class 1, Criminal Justice Executive Development XI, and the Southern Police Institute’s Administrative Officer’s Course class 122.

White and his wife, Nicole, have a grown son and reside in Berea.
