John “Michael” Ward II is the Police Chief for the City of Alexandria, where he lives with his wife Carol and their two daughters. He has been in military and Kentucky law enforcement over 25 years. Prior to Alexandria he rose through the ranks as patrolman, sergeant, lieutenant and chief with the City of Crescent Springs after 16 years. Ward is a graduate of the FBI National Academy’s 187th Session and attended Northern Kentucky University. He is a past president of the Northern Kentucky Police Chief’s Association and is currently the northern representative to the Kentucky Association of Chief’s of Police. Chief Ward is Vice Chair of the Council and serves on the Professional Standards Committee.
