Law enforcement is a rewarding profession. It can also be challenging for officers’ family and friends. The Department of Criminal Justice Training is now offering assistance to law enforcement officers to benefit them both personally and professionally.
Many agency support systems are reactive in nature, however, the program offered by DOCJT is both proactive and positive. While in basic training, recruits and their families will be introduced to support systems that will assist them throughout their career. This training is called “Orientation for New Law Enforcement Families.” The training focuses on information that will enable law enforcement families to deal with issues they may face in their home while in their loved one is in this profession.
This Web site will guide families to available resources. DOCJT will continue to expand this site in order to provide the highest quality of assistance possible to law enforcement families.
